Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Skills and Application Certificate  Online 


Our CBT Certificate Course or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-CBT Skills and Application Certificate is an online course that is geared for RN’s, RPN’s, LPN’s, and NP’s. CBT is one of today’s most respected evidenced based psychotherapy disciplines today. It is primarily used to help people understand the thoughts and feelings that influence habits, actions and behaviors. The goal of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Skills and Application program is to teach nurses the skills and application in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and to familiarize nurses with the overall process of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Course is offered Online, course duration is 6 months 450 hours, and Students will be expected to submit 25 case studies utilizing CBT techniques with real clients that the student will obtain from their communities under the clinical supervision of an experienced Nurse Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist.

Students who enroll in this course can realistically expect to:

  • Discover the origins and structure of  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
  • Develop a keen understanding of CBT as a distinct  interpersonal process.
  • Recognize how a person’s beliefs influence their feelings, actions and behavior.
  • Use CBT language patterns and communication styles to  promote client engagement.
  • Lay a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and application & competency that can be transferred into the clinical work setting
  • Understand the true nature of fear, anxiety and other destructive emotions.
  • Understand how to apply CBT principles to a wide range of social and professional contexts.
